Pre-registration is very important for everybody who has to comply with registration. The extended deadlines for registration – 3, 6, 11 years are only applicable if the substance is pre-registered. This means that pre-registration is a must for every company that imports or produces more than 1 t/y of a substance that will have to register under REACH.

If there is no pre-registration, phase-in substances have to be registered without delay.

This means pre-registration is essential and should not be missed! Subject to pre-registration are substances on their own, but also in preparations or in finished products.

When do I have to pre-register?

Between June and December 2008. This is why it’s already important to check which substances your company should pre-register. EPPA can help you prepare the datasheets needed for pre-registration and submit the dossier to ECHA.
