| Public Consultations On 8 New Candidates |

Today ECHA launched public consultations on eight potential SVHC substances to be included in the Candidate list and later in the authorisation Annex XIV. Interested parties have 45 days, i.e. till 7 April, to submit comments to the Agency if they have additional information, would like to support the prioritisation or believe it is unjustified. The substances are as follows: 1) Cobalt dichloride 2) 2-ethoxyethyl acetate 3) strontium chromate 4) 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, di-C7-11-branched and linear alkyl esters 5) Hydrazine 6) 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone 7) 1,2,3-trichloropropane, 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, di-C6-8-branched alkyl esters, C7-rich, 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, di-C6-8-branched alkyl esters, C7-rich After the consultations are over, the substances will be included in the Candidate list by a vote of the Member States Committee (MSC). Producers of finished goods will be immediately subjected to the obligation to communicate SVHCs contained in their products if any of the substances exceeds 0,1 % w/w.
